Last week, the corridors in school were adorned with red, white and blue bunting in readiness for the King Charles III Coronation celebrations.
On Friday, we began with an assembly focussed on British Values and the significance of the Coronation celebration. Students had the opportunity to get involved by participating in the following:
- Royal photo booth
- Coronation cookie design competition
- Coronation colouring competition
- Stamp design competition
- Design a crown fit for the King competition
- Canteen providing British themed food
It was fantastic to see so many students taking part with house points and Coronation memorabilia up for grabs.
Members of our Music department also delivered performances at break and lunch time with their royal fanfares.
We are also installing two plaques from The British Ironwork Centre to commemorate the event. One will be installed at Sixth Form and one at the Lower School.
Here are a selection of photos taken throughout the day.
