In support of Mr McAleavy’s London Marathon challenge, staff have come together for a fundraising event at Alderford Lake.
Last Friday evening, in teams of 5, staff were quizzed on their general knowledge, film, music, sport and more!
Staff from Alderford Lake hosted the quiz, providing drinks and a fabulous chilli, chips and nachos at half time break. There was also an amazing raffle with some great prizes up for grabs – including afternoon tea, spa break and some fabulous gifts.
The results were very close, with the winning team ‘The Chemists’ taking first place.
A fantastic £910 was raised which will go to the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. Deputy Head, Mr McAleavy, chose this worthy charity for his London Marathon challenge he successfully completed last month.
In 2022, Mr McAleavy reached 5 years cancer-free and as a thank-you for the support they gave to him and his Dad, he felt compelled to give back to the charity that helped him on his journey.
