Students from our ‘Adams Aware’ Environment Club and ‘Farm Club’ come together to help the Wem Area Climate Action Forum (WACAF) with their latest project.
The WACAF volunteers are trialling a wildflower meadow as part of their work in addressing the climate crisis and to improve the value of our green spaces across Wem.
The area is currently mown grass and is situated along the left side of the footpath from Barleyfields to Guttery Close, adjacent to the fenced play area. The area is approximately 10m long and 2-3m wide.
The group of students worked well together in preparing the area and planting the wildflower. They got the job done efficiently and in good time.
