How to apply...
Thomas Adams School Admissions
As Thomas Adams School is now an academy, we determine our own admissions policy.
For admissions to Year 7, application must be made through Shropshire Council by 31 October in the academic year prior to which your child is due to start school. All applications received by this date will be considered and parents will be informed by Shropshire Council on 1 March if they have been allocated a place.
Shropshire Council produces a booklet called “Parents’ Guide to Education” each year with up-to-date information about schools and a full explanation of the admissions processes.
The booklets are available from the Admissions Team or can be accessed on the Shropshire website here.
If you live in Shropshire, all enquiries regarding admissions should be addressed to:
Tel: 0345 6789 008
Catchment areas for schools can be viewed on Localview which can be found on the above website address.
Residents living outside of Shropshire
If you are planning to move to Shropshire around the time that your child would like to enrol, please contact the Admissions Team at Shropshire Council. If you live in surrounding counties or across the border in Wales, you will need to firstly apply to your local council. They will then communicate with Shropshire Council regarding your application. Applications from outside of the immediate catchment area are very common and openly welcomed.
Mid-term transfers are dealt with by the school. Click here for the mid-term form.
Please send completed forms to the Headteacher’s PA, email@example.com
Do feel free to contact the school if you wish to discuss your application or would like to look around the school before applying.
