Dear Parents/Carers,

Given the large extent of media attention surrounding the spread of Coronavirus, I am writing to inform you of the school’s position on this issue.  Whilst we appreciate that there is a degree of concern and anxiety regarding the spread of the virus, we are very mindful of the fact that the risk in the UK is moderate and statistically much lower than other common diseases.  As of 9am on 2nd March there have been 40 positive cases in the UK.

Nonetheless, we are considering Public Health England advice very carefully and we are continuing to monitor the government’s response and follow their updated guidance.

Please find below an official poster that gives guidance to students, staff and parents.

(The Department of Health and Social Care will be publishing updated data on this page every day at 2pm until further notice.)

We hope this information has been useful to you.

Please do contact the school if you have any concerns relating to this matter.
