On Wednesday, Thomas Adams School was privileged to receive a visit from the Drapers Company of London. The group of 17 Drapers were made up of the Master – Mr Stuart Shilson, and other members of the Court including Wardens and the Clerk of the Company.

During the visit they had a tour of the school, viewing textiles, observing cooking lessons and seeing the cast of Grease rehearsing. The Drapers were also talking to a number of sixth form students, including our Dragon’s Den entrants. These students will be heading to London on the 28th November to compete against other affiliated Draper schools.

They also spent some time in Adams House, the school’s Boarding house, where they spoke with a number of boarders over lunch.

Headteacher Mr Cooper said, “It was a huge privilege to host the Drapers’ Company for this visit, providing them with a brief insight into the educational opportunities we provide at Thomas Adams School”. It was also nice for them to see how their support as a Company makes a difference”.
