International Women’s Day provides an important opportunity to educate and inspire children and young people about gender equality.

The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is ‘Inspire Inclusion’. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world.

Students had the opportunity to attend the event at Wem Town Hall today. Thomas Adams School has an exhibition stand put together by our History Club and Computer Science students. The Computer Science students are demonstrating coding to the public and our History Club have produced a display promoting women of historical importance from Shropshire.

Students were able to walk around a number of exhibition stalls and stop at each of the stands to see what activity they have. They had the opportunity to talk to business owners and find out lots of information, watch performers and listen to speakers.
