On Friday 13th January (unlucky for some, lucky for others!) staff enjoyed a night of quizzing, feasting and fundraising. 12 teams battled it out, testing their knowledge on a wide range of topics from wizards to Weetabix! Our fabulous finance and admin staff were crowned the winners in a closely fought contest.

Staff had joined together to raise funds for our incredible friend and colleague Hayley Harris, Head of Art, who is fighting her own battle against bowel cancer. An amazing £1800 was raised with the monies going towards a beautifully, hand carved legacy bench which Hayley would like to gift to the school.

A huge thank you also goes out to James and Alice at Alderford Lake who helped make the evening so special and to the generous staff who kindly donated their wages to help our cause. It was a fantastic evening with fantastic people for a fantastic cause!

Since the fundraising event, the beautiful legacy bench has now been carved. The bench takes pride of place in the grounds at Thomas Adams School.

We would like to thank Joffrey Watson aka ‘The Chainsaw Bloke’ for his incredible work in creating a bespoke bench for our wonderful friend and colleague Hayley. The project took a week to complete and it looks amazing!
