For the past few weeks, Thomas Adams Sixth Form students have been asking for donations for their recent charity fundraiser.  Non-perishable food items and toiletries were on the list and it didn’t take long to fill up a trolley!  At the start of the February half term, the contents of the trolley were handed over to The Shrewsbury Ark.

The Shrewsbury Ark relies entirely on generous donations to survive.  Everything they receive is used purely to keep offering their services to those who need them.  It costs £120,000 per year to keep The Ark open five days a week, so every donation is gratefully received.  The Shrewsbury Ark provide free meals, snacks and warm drinks as well as support to anyone in need.  The Ark team is also made up of volunteers, from all walks of life, who give up their own time to help others.

Year 12 students with the donation (left to right) are Ella Wappner, Wesley Mills, Conor Braithwaite, Nathan Kershaw and Issy Smith.
